* In order for students to be considered prepared for class they must bring their instrument (and any other related supplies i.e. reeds, mouthpiece, valve oil etc.), sheet music or method book (for recorder), and have practiced exercises and concepts that were discussed in previous rehearsals.
If any of the above is missing, the student will be considered unprepared for class and this will lower their grade.
** It is important that students practice at home on a regular basis, practice logs are sent home with the students and are due back every two weeks. A minimum of 20 -25 minutes per day for at least four or five days a week is required. Students should reach a minimum of about 85 minutes of practice time per week. Any less practice time will not be sufficient to help the student make progress in music.
Copies of current practice logs are available for download in pdf form on the practice log link. (practice logs vary by class so please select the one based on the class that you belong to).
