By now all students should be able to play through all of their concert music. This means should be able to identify, count,clap and play all the different rhythms in their music. They must be able to identify all notes in their music without writing their letter names down, they must be able to play all letter names in their music with a good tone and proper posture.
Practice in sections (for ex. do a group of measures at a time, count and clap the rhythm, finger and say the letter names, make the rhythms longer, play the rhythm on one note and then play it as written).
Set goals for practice...
Each class specific measures are covered in class.. and for now students should focus in on measures that are particularly challenging for themselves in their music.
